The Pet Test meter is a life saver. For someone who struggled so much in the beginning of diagnosis with even getting blood. The Pet Test is the only meter that takes such a small drop of blood! I’ve tried other meters and for a small dog they just take too much blood. Very thankful for it and will never use anything different!

I did a side by side comparison of the PetTest meter and the ReliOn meter that I had been using prior to receiving the new one. There was NO noticeable difference as each one would vary by only a few points either more or less than the other. My personal findings were that the PetTest meter is no more accurate than the ReliOn and, due to the high price of the test strips for the PetTest, I will stick with the ReliOn meter! $60 for 50 test strips compared to $18 for 100 test strips is a deal breaker for me! Pet's blood is far different from human blood, so if you choose to entrust your dog or cat's health to a meter and test strips designed for humans, you could be putting them at risk of inaccurate readings. Just because the readings were similar between the meters at one point does not mean that there won't be significant differences along the way. I love this meter, it compares closely to the AlphaTrak in glucose readings for my dog, I am satisfied with the accuracy, and I like that it also only requires a tiny drop of blood. It reads quickly and is ready to draw up the blood drop quickly. Easy to program as well.

Until we received out Pettest we were having difficulty home testing our Sugarbaby. The lancing device has really made a difference and the meter is so easy to use

Item works well. Recieved it quickly. Instructions were clear and easy to follow.

We are impressed with this meter and would recommend it. The only reason I didn't give it a full five stars is that the lancer would not actually penetrate my dogs skin so we had to buy another lancing device. However, the meter is excellent.

Only a tiny bit of blood is needed for this meter and the results are consistently reliable. The lancet device didn't seem like it allowed the needle to come out very far. Tested it on myself and it does work but I will use another one for personal preference.
