What we found with that packaging was that moisture and air that was let into the vial each time it was opened had an affect on the accuracy of the strips.

That led to the individually wrapped foil packaging. That proved to be a challenge for many as they felt that the foil wrapping was difficult to open. So the most recent evolution of strip packaging is ready and being shipped. These strips are in foil that open like a bandaid wrapper. Based on early accounts, these strips are very easy to open and access. So easy, in fact, that you don’t even have to touch the strip to insert it into the meter.
