Easy to use, if you are new to testing the lancet pen is a bit tricky to get the hang of. Practice on a piece of paper.

When comparing readings against my tester the differences ranged from -18 to +80. Also I did a back to back reading and this was crazy. 288 mine - 311 pettest. Then repeated and got 287 mine and a 367 pettest. Huge difference there. PETTEST MODERATOR: Hi Janet, thanks for your opinion. PetTest is accurate to +/- 20%, just like the top, far more expensive pet meter on the market. Your other meter, though you didn't identify it by name, is very likely no more accurate than PetTest. I love this monitor! The lancet pen doesn't work, but I had an old lancet device on hand. Even with the depth set to number 5, it still won't pierce my dogs ear. It won't even come through the plastic cap. The meter is pretty accurate as I have tested it against my AlphaTRAK2. Thank you for the free meter. I will definitely be using it. I love this Kit it is very accurate and I love the fact that it is very quick and almost painless. When I prick my dog Buck he don't even flinch at all so checking his blood sugar is easy. Thank you so much for making it easier for me to check his BG and making is as painless as possible for him. Now we both can feel better.

Being so new to this and not having a clue what I was doing, I appreciated how simple this meter was to use. I even taught my 15 year old how to use it in case of an emergency! Thank you for a great affordable product!
