PetTest Foil Wrapped Strip Box (NEW Easy Open Packaging) - 50 count

Well I love the pet test meter and these accompanying strips I agree with the other senior that I saw review them and mentioned that the foil is difficult to open. I wish we did have the choice of the ones in the vial mainly because I live where it isn't humid and I have air conditioning. And I use the strip so quickly that I really don't think anything could happen to deteriorate them. Right now I keep a pair of scissors on my table with my dog's diabetic supplies. But I have cut one by mistake! I will keep using them. But again I wish we had a choice of the vial or the foil depending where you live you could make the decision. We're committed to providing our Customers with the most accurate tools for the job - which is why our test strips are now protected from humidity and temperature in foil wrapping. You may not live in a humid area compared to the rest of the country, but our strips are produced in a clean room with relative humidity of 7%. Even if you live in Las Vegas or Phoenix where humidity is famously low and averages around 30%, it would still be about 4 times more humid than when packaged, thus altering the accuracy of the strip radically with time after opening. Please know that we're investigating easier to open foil packaging, but this change was done in the name of accuracy and protecting your pet's health.

I love to use the PetTest Meter and strips to test my diabetic dog. They are easy to use, and they are perfect for my budget. I use a lot of strips (at least 3 a day or more) so I appreciate the PetTest company and their products.

While I cannot live without the strips for my dogs diabetes, when I receive my order to Canada For 3 boxes I am charged $76 customs, duty, brokerage fees and taxes on top by the shipper. I wish their was an Advocate Canadian distributer to order from. (Please note, the courier also took 3 weeks to arrive as it was reviewed in Customs). Also, when I ordered 2 SOS tubes, I was charged $42 Canadian in customs, duty and brokerage fees and taxes... making my purchase not very affordable. While this isn’t the fault of Advocate, it should probably be mentioned on the order form that these charges may be incurred. I wish the company would give an option to order strips in a canister. The foil packets are so hard to open. That being said, the strips work well and my vet and I are pleased with the meter. It’s extremely close to the meter they use at the clinic. They’re pricey but in line with other diabetic supplies for pets.
