OCUPET for Your Dog’s Eye Health

OCUPET for Your Dog’s Eye Health

If you have a diabetic dog you may have been told that diabetic cataracts and the possibility of them losing their site is a strong possibility, after all 80% of diabetic dogs get diabetic cataracts. Not all dogs are able to have cataract surgery, whether it is due to finances or the dog is not a g candidate for the surgery. There can also be secondary issues due to diabetic cataracts like uveitis and glaucoma. The good news is that giving a supplement for overall eye health and getting blood glucose levels to a target range of 100 – 250 mg/dL (5.55 – 13.8 mmol/L) can help slow the progression of diabetic cataracts.

After Lucy was diagnosed with diabetes and I was told that she would likely get diabetic cataracts, so I worked on getting her blood glucose levels to target range to help her organs. Eyes are an organ! And even though Lucy was diagnosed with immature cataracts in January 2016 she still had vision until 2020. I attribute the slow progression to lower blood glucose levels and eye supplements that helped with her overall eye health.

Guess what? PetTest has researched and has come up with the perfect eye support product for your dog! OCUPET will be available soon for purchase and I need to share just how great OCUPET is. Okay, that was A LOT of information for me to learn and for you to read, but as you see all the active ingredients are beneficial for your dog’s eye health. And a couple things I really love about OCUPET:

  • Quality ingredients that are human grade
  • Pills are veggie capsules and the supplement is a powder so they can be easily opened and sprinkled on food.
  • All the vitamins and antioxidants that are suggested for overall eye health are in this supplement.

I cannot wait for this product to become available and I can happily say that OCUPET will be available soon!
